IHEARTCOMIX is a lifestyle brand and marketing venture whose focus is on introducing and building new artists (musical and otherwise) through, but not limited to, events, shows, a record label, the internet and other creative endeavors. IHEARTCOMIX has garnered a respected reputation for itself through trailblazing events such as CHECK YO’ PONYTAIL and several other one-off events worldwide, by successfully launching a blog that has become a destination for pop culture lovers across the universe, www.iheartcomix.com, and by introducing new musical household names, such as MATT & KIM, PROTOKOLL and THE TOXIC AVENGER, with the launch of its’ record label, IHEARTCOMIX RECORDS.FRANKI CHAN is the Owner and President of IHEARTCOMIX, but is also a well respected DJ and Illustrator in his own right. Raised in Bloomington, IN, his roots lie in the DIY punk scene of the late ’90’s, but his passion for dancing, booking shows and comic books quickly evolved into a multi-faceted endeavor that eventually brought him to Los Angeles, CA. As a DJ, he - s become one of the leaders of the Indie DJ movement in the US. He’s traveled the world and performed alongside electronic and party legends, helping to influence a whole new generation of DJs. As an illustrator, he’s designed the large portion of IHEARTCOMIX flyers and aesthetic and has designed/released material for POKETO, DARK HORSE and FANTAGRAPHICS.
