Hex Dispensers / King Tuff

For the latest installment of the Scion A/V Garage 7” series, two members of garage’s new generation of shredders offer fresh tracks. Austin’s Hex Dispensers fly down deserted sonic highways and burn through your ears with “Agatha’s Antlers.” The only thing that can bring down this song’s revved up feel are the lyrics’ dark gothic imagery. On the B-side, King Tuff brightens the sound with a clap-along rave called “Hands.” Kyle Thomas hasn’t released any new music as King Tuff for a few years, but this woolly beast is a welcome addition to his mushrooming discography.
