- Bad Sports - Would You Wait For Me Too Now playing on radio
- Cheap Time -Proper Introductions (Running Nowhere) Now playing on radio
The latest edition of Scion A/V Garage’s 7" series features two brand new southern smokers from Cheap Time and Bad Sports. Coming out of Tennessee, Cheap Time bring the precise, unhinged swing they are known for with "Proper Introductions (Running Nowhere)." Cutting through the guitar fuzz and high hat heavy percussion, Jeff Novak’s lyrics of everyday social awkwardness are delivered with supreme disaffection. "Would You Wait For Me Too?" from Denton, Texas’ Bad Sports is a timeless power pop number that revolves around the always-relevant theme of lost, or soon-to-be lost, love. The almost melancholy melody gives the song its heart, but it’s the frenetic drums that create a sense of urgency--the combination captures the dueling emotions at the song’s center.
