Wold
Genre: Metal
Wold was formed in 1999 out of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada by Fortress Crookedjaw.
An eponymous demo was released on limited CDR in 2001.
2003 marked the creation of Badb, an unreleased CDR, until Regimental Records put it out on limited cassette version in 2004.
In 2005 Wold released, L.O.T.M.P., its debut full length on CD through Profound Lore Records and was followed up with Screech Owl on CD in 2007.
The monumental Stratification full length CD was released in 2008, once again by Profound Lore Records.
Two limited Wold releases were put out in 2009 by Rotting Chapel Propaganda: Imperator, a compilation on cassette, and a 7” vinyl called Social Pressure.
In 2010 Wold continued to defy expectations with the Profound Lore CD release, Working Together for our Privacy (sic).
2010 was also the year of Wold – Public Performance, which took place at Matthew Barney’s REMAINS in New York City.
2011 was activity filled, first with Tubal Cain, a Wold themed book, done in limited publication, by Matthew Barney and Brandon Stosuy; then the re-release of Badb on CD by Crucial Blast Records. The true climax came in late December with Freermasonry, Wold’s fifth CD release on Profound Lore Records.
