Scion x Riley Hawk Driven Seeks Shelter in Sandy, Oregon at Windells
The Scion x Riley Hawk Driven video series continues as pro skater Riley Hawk and the Shep Dawgs crew stay out of the rain and shred the indoor skatepark at Windells, The “Funnest” Place on Earth. This stop is in Sandy, Oregon, near Mt. Hood, as they drive a pair of Scion xBs on a skateboarding tour of the Pacific Northwest. In this session, Hawk is joined by Troye Rhoades, Taylor Smith and Stephen Lawyer, as they make use of Windells’ massive foam pit.
In the background you’ll hear “Waterloo Waltz” by the Black Angels, a new song on the compilation Riley Hawk: Northwest Blow Out EP, presented by Scion AV. All the songs on the collection—which features additional music by Loom, Kadavar and Hot Lunch—were chosen by Hawk, and they’re now available for free download.
Hawk has been doing a ton with Scion over past few months through the Scion Collaboration project. At SEMA in Las Vegas last November was the unveiling of the project car the Scion x Riley Hawk Skate Tour xB. Custom built by Scott Kanemura of KMA Productions, this xB integrates Hawk’s interests in ’70s style, music and skateboarding. Its features include wood-grain décor, a mini fridge, shag carpet, an 8-track player, a big Pioneer Sound System and the ability to play a guitar through the audio system using an iPad mini as mixer. There’s also a cargo box with an INNO rack system to store skateboards.
Hawk, along with Taylor Kirby and Jacob Nuñez, were recently interviewed by host Prince Paul on the Scion AV All Purpose Show. Expect even more from Hawk and the Shep Dawgs with Scion AV in the coming months.
