Party Supplies is on a tear recently, not only releasing the debut album Tough Love, but continuing the inventive Blue Chips series with rapper Action Bronson. As part of the Scion Music(less) Music Conference’s Studio Tour series, we checked out Justin Nealis’ Williamsburg studio/apartment.

Party Supplies is the producer behind Danny Brown’s “Grown Up”—a favorite Scion AV release—and on this visit he gives a quick glimpse of how he put the beat together using the Akai MPC1000 and Pro Tools. He also explains the key role that sampling plays in constructing his music and how he can turn disparate sources into his signature sound. If you haven’t seen the video, check it out below.
