The Business of Rap panel at the Scion Music(less) Music Conference addressed the behind the scenes agreements and dealings the actually make the hip-hop world function. Adding their expertise were manager and former independent record label owner Amaechi Uzoigwe, Atlanta-based lawyer Jonathan Leonard Esq. and Nicole Plantin of publisher BMI.  This collection of behind the scenes figures spoke about the financial opportunities and hazards of working in the rap world, demystifying the sometimes impenetrable seeming process of building a career in rap music and actually making sustainable money while you’re at it.
