ASAP Rocky and Hood By Air - Scion AV Installation

Scion AV favorite ASAP Rocky truly turned pro in 2013 and has been rewarded with a Grammy Nomination for Best Rap Song with the cut “F**ckin Problem.” This track—which also features Kendrick Lamar, Drake and 2 Chainz—comes from Rocky’s major label debut  Long. Live. ASAP.

Rocky has been making a name for himself in the underground for the past fews years, but 2013 was when he really pushed it to the next level. Scion AV has been there to support him along the way.

He was one of the first performers at the new Scion Open Mic series of free rap shows, bringing the A$AP Mob to an intimate club in Brooklyn where he played to a crowd of contest winners.

Scion also helped him take his show to a larger scale, sponsoring the 35 date LongLiveASAP tour as it crossed the United States with openers Schoolboy QASAP Mob, and Danny Brown.

Prior to the tour, Rocky and Brown visited the set of the Scion AV All Purpose Show where they got a little out of control with host Prince Paul and the Ill Out Crew.

Later, on a repeat visit to the All Purpose Show, Rocky visited a NYC pizzeria with Ill Out Crew member Mr. Dead to get more in-depth about his history and his perspective.

ASAP Rocky is a true light of what’s now developing in hip-hop and it would be great to see him rewarded with a Grammy.
