Scion 10 Music Release Compilation Featuring Moodymann

The unveiling of Scion 10 Music Release comes to an end with a new song from Moodymann. “Some Mo” is the tenth and final track of this compilation that celebrates Scion’s continued and eclectic support of both music’s new adventurers and its visionary architects. “Some Mo” now available for streaming and free download.

Moodymann is a titan of Detroit techno music and an honest defender of the genre. He’s been releasing new music since the early 1990s, primarily through his own KDJ and Mahogani Music imprints, as well as on Peacefrog Records and Carl Craig’s Planet E. While Moodymann is a true devotee to techno music and has helped advance its futuristic visions, in his music he also connects the sound to its roots in soul and funk from decades past.

On “Some Mo” Moodymann lays a slinking and twitching sonic bed, then he comes over the top with some major testifying.   Moodymann also recently produced Picture This, a thumping EP of seven new tracks for Scion AV that’s still available.
