Last year, the 8-part Young Americans series from Scion AV and VICE examined some of most pressing topics facing today’s young adults including college debt, immigration, and the viability of the American Dream. Through the lens of director Lance Bangs, the short films gave us a glimpse into what it’s like to be part of a new generation of youth in our country, and how each of the issues tackled by the series are shaping their social identity.

Season 2 of Young Americans returns next Wednesday, May 29th with Bangs once again at the helm. In shifting the overarching emphasis of the series to ethnicity, Bangs and his team travelled across America to engage people from a wide array of ethnic communities about how their backgrounds have molded their overall sense of self. In between, the Season 2 of Young Americans also touches on themes including body image, socializing, and the LGBT experience.

The trailer for the new season of Young Americans is now live, and subsequent episodes will be available each Wednesday through July 17th. The series’ full airing schedule is below – for more information, visit www.youtube.com/scionav.
