The ASAP Mob is one of the most vital cultural forces that New York City’s got going right now, and members ASAP Rocky and ASAP Ferg both were interviewed on upcoming episodes of the Scion AV All Purpose Show. ASAP Rocky’s been making noise for a while, but finally kicked down the doors with his debut album LongLiveA$AP earlier this year. Following right behind him was ASAP Ferg, who’s been pulling in new fans with “Work,” which is already being called one of 2013’s best singles.
In these interview previews, Rocky and Ferg show the type of charisma that has helped the two transcend the often insular world of New York hop-hop. The Scion AV All Purpose show, hosted by Prince Paul and featuring his Ill Out Crew, showcases the stars of today that Scion is working with, and the ASAP Mob has been popping up everywhere.
ASAP Rocky has a long-running friendship with fashion designer Shayne Oliver and this past weekend appeared at the opening of “MORPH,” the pop up retail experience from the luxury streetwear brand Hood by Air that’s currently up at the Scion AV Installation space.
Rocky also recently co-headlined an edition of the monthly Scion AV Open Mic event with Ferg. Together the two ripped Public Assembly in Brooklyn in front of an intimate crowd of sweepstakes winners. A few weeks later ASAP Ferg got in the driver’s seat for the Scion Racing x Scion AV FR-S track day where a group of musicians and artists got schooled by Scion Racing Formula Drift drivers Ken Gushi and Fredric Aasbo. You can see photos from this event now and video will be available soon.
