On September 29th, Scion officially opened their new retail/gallery space in Los Angeles, the Scion A/V Installation.  The space opened with a exhibition called “Verita Vltima Vitae” curated by renowned British artist, French.  The show featured a small collection of French’s work, including original sketches, album artwork, and several retail products based on French’s designs.  The limited edition goods are items that French and visitors might use in daily life, such as tea sets, skateboard decks, beer koozies, and blankets.  Products from French, as well as a smattering of other artists, are available for sale at the Scion A/V Installation.  All proceeds go directly back to the artist or to a charity of the featured artist’s choosing.

Following the opening event, the party continued down the street at the Dragonfly Bar in Hollywood, with metal bands Suffocation and Origin performing sets for an enthusiastic crowd.  French was in attendance, even taking the opportunity to stage dive and crowd surf during Origin’s performance.  Check out the photos below which show the build out of the exhibition, the opening event, and the after party at the Dragonfly Bar.
